Proactive & Reactive Maintenance

Here we'll explain the importance of having a maintenance contract that we can provide and how they save you money while you're a part of one.

Proactive Maintenance

Being part of our Maintenance Contracts means we can perform regular surveys to a building/property/land and carry out maintenance to issues before they become a costly problem. Regular maintenance, scheduled maintenance or preventive maintenance is a precautionary system in which maintenance and inspections are scheduled at regular intervals.

This type of planning ensures that a building is operating correctly - minimising breakdowns and outages - and also helps to reduce the amount and frequency of emergency (and potentially costly) repairs.

Why be proactive with maintenance:

  • Extends the useful life of material by decreasing the need for premature replacements.
  • Minimises disruption to production schedules and output, since planned work can be scheduled during downtime and slower periods of the year.
  • Improves budget control as the sourcing of spare parts and labour can be planned and purchased in advance.
  • Decreases the amount and frequency of large-scale repairs.
  • Improves compliance with health and safety requirements.

Reactive Maintenance

As previously mentioned reactive maintenance is best avoided as this could effect performances & output. That said there will always be a need for reactive maintenance. That's where our contracts come in. If you're already a part of our contracts where reactive maintenance is required we will already have your costs fixed.
